When it comes to digestion, pregnancy can really do a number to it. Hormonal changes can relax the muscles in the digestive tract, slowing things down, which can lead to constipation, bloating, and heartburn. As your baby grows, more pressure is put on your internal organs including your stomach and intestines, which can make things worse. In other words? You're going to have to think about your digestion more than you probably ever have. Outside of pregnancy, making sure you're getting adequate fiber and nutrition is a big part of the battle of keeping digestion healthy and consistent.
That's why a good start to the day (or anytime, really) is a gut-friendly smoothie. We tapped pre + postnatal registered dietitian and Perelel Panel member, Stephanie Lauri, to put together this Gut Goodness Greens Smoothie (using the Synbiotic Greens Powder) to help with digestion.
Support your digestive health with this high fiber smoothie including Perelel Health Synbiotic Greens Powder for pre/probiotics and additional antioxidants. The nutrients combined may help with digestion, inflammation and the balance of gut bacteria.
