How do I know if I’m in perimenopause?

Most women will start to experience perimenopause symptoms in their mid-40s, but some can start as early as in their mid to late 30s. For many women, the first sign of perimenopause is a change in their menstrual cycle. Tell-tale signs may also include hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness and heart palpitations—as well as emotional changes such as increased anxiety and fatigue. Some liken perimenopause symptoms to worsening PMS symptoms. There are many other overlooked signs and symptoms. If you’re experiencing hormonal changes, it’s best to check in with your physician.

What’s the difference between perimenopause and menopause?

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause. On average, this chapter can last about four years, but can range up to 10 years. During this time, our hormone levels start to fluctuate—which can impact everything from menstrual cycle regularity, mood and even body temperature regulation (hello, hot flashes). These hormonal fluctuations, ultimately, will impact nearly every organ system in our bodies. It’s both a gradual and seismic shift in our body chemistry. Unfortunately, this important life transition is poorly understood and under-researched. The BEST!

It only is this “grab & go” packet convenient but it contains everything that I didn’t realize I was missing. After just a month of consistently taking these vitamins, I feel so much better.
