About Perelel: Perelel is a direct-to-consumer women’s health company defining a new era of radical body literacy and medically-backed, stage-specific hormonal support. The first and only OB/GYN-founded vitamin brand, Perelel offers targeted nutrition for different stages of a woman's hormonal journey—from fertility, menstrual health, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
Position Summary: The Social Media Content Creator will play a key role in supporting the Senior Social Media Manager and content arm of Perelel. You will be a pivotal player in our mission to empower and educate women about their hormonal health through compelling storytelling, engaging content, and community-building on social media platforms. You will act as Perelel’s primary cross-channel content creator to film and create of-the-moment content across all of Perelel’s content pillars and publish daily. We see this role as the face of Perelel’s TikTok—therefore, you will need to be very confident and comfortable on camera.
You’ll also need to be comfortable leveraging data-driven insights to inform content strategy and drive meaningful connections with our audience while positioning Perelel at the center of brand-relevant social conversation. Reporting directly to the Senior Social Media Manager, you will create, execute, and optimize social media initiatives that align with Perelel’s brand identity and business goals.
Responsibilities:
The Social Media Content Creator's role will primarily focus on:
- Management of Perelel’s TikTok Channel & Content Creation
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies tailored to TikTok to help Perelel build more brand awareness in collaboration with the Senior Social Media Manager & Head of Content.
- Stay in the know with social and wellness industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy, from content creation to community and creator strategy.
- Social Media Publishing & Community Management
- Manage all publishing of content across all social media channels.
- Own community management and social-first CX efforts on all social media platforms.
- Monitor influencer and community tags and ensure Perelel’s influencer management system is current.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the content team to develop new and creative ideas for Perelel’s channels.
- Assist with digital marketing initiatives as needed.
- Support the organization of social media contests, giveaways, and other activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- This is an entry-level role with 1-3+ years of relevant, hands-on experience preferred in content creation and social media management, preferably in the health and wellness or lifestyle sectors. Editorial background preferred.
- Mastery of TikTok and Instagram, and a keen interest in emerging social media platforms.
- Exceptional video skills: very comfortable and confident on camera, editing videos, and creating real-time content.
- Extensive content creation and video portfolio and proven track record of creating successful social media campaigns, driving engagement, and achieving measurable results.
- Deep familiarity with reproductive health, body literacy, prenatal, and related categories strongly preferred (hormonal + menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood).
- Fully and demonstrably immersed in the cultural zeitgeist—you have a knack for not just hopping on trends, but staying one step ahead (i.e., you are a very “online” person).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Canva and Photoshop, and/or other design software is a bonus.
- Data-driven mindset, adept at analyzing social media metrics and using insights to refine video strategies.
- Passion for storytelling, community building, and women's health advocacy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
