What's Nourishing Jessica Manning?

We want to know: What's nourishing you?

Welcome to our new series, Nourished. Here, we feature women creating an enriching life and ask what's currently nourishing their mind, body and soul, inspired by our Women's Daily Vitamin Trio ($38), which targets the three pillars of health and wellbeing.

First up is Jessica Manning. A favorite follow, Manning's social feed has no shortage of inspiration and serves as a daily reminder to live slow and appreciate the little things. She offloads her mental, shares her tried-and-true beauty products, and necessities of self-care for our first edition of Nourished. Read on below.

MIND

  1. What’s currently on your playlist?

Lately, I'm always finding myself coming back to Dijon's album, Absolutely. It's such a special collection of music.

  1. What are you currently watching?

I’ve really been enjoying catching up on old seasons of Top Chef lately.

  1. What’s something you’re looking forward to?

My brother and his fiancé are moving to Los Angeles next month and I can't wait to have family close by.

  1. What brings you joy?

Family. And family is like friends. It’s the only thing that really matters in my eyes. Our relationships with the ones we love.

BODY

  1. Your go-to workout is…

I love a long walk, a hike, or pilates. A reformer pilates class is a favorite for sure.

  1. At Perelel, we believe wellness can come in the form of a cocktail, too. What’s your go-to cocktail order?

I tend to gravitate towards tart cocktails and more spirit-forward drinks. I don’t love anything that’s way too sweet. I love a margarita, a gin sour, or every now and then I really crave a gin martini.

  1. When do you take your vitamins?

I take my first thing in the morning with a big glass of water. It’s become a nice little routine to start my day.

  1. Any tips for a good night’s sleep?

I know that getting off my phone at least an hour before bed is incredibly helpful. I also know that I’m not always great at that but I do my best to unwind for a bit in a calm, cozy room. I always find a thoughtful skincare routine helps me to wind down and I also swear on my magnesium for calming my body. I love the magnesium drink from Moon Juice.

  1. Coffee or tea?

Hot cup of coffee in the morning and tea later in the day. I do love herbal teas as a calming beverage in the evening and I love matcha as well so on occasion I’ll swap my morning coffee with a hot or iced matcha. But coffee is my true love.

BEAUTY

  1. When do you feel most beautiful?

I feel most beautiful when I can be my full self around the people I love most. And it typically has nothing to do with the way that I look. It’s the feeling of being my most authentic self with no judgment. That makes me feel beautiful and seen on a deeper level.

  1. You’re stranded on a deserted island—the beauty product you bring with you….

Sunscreen. :)

  1. The beauty product that’s always in your cabinet…

I have used many bottles of both the Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser ($36) and Moon Juice Plump Jelly Hyaluronic Serum ($58).

  1. The beauty product that’s always in your purse…

Lip Balm! Currently, I’ve been loving the Ilia Lip Wrap Overnight Treatment ($26) and the Butter Elixir Lip Balm ($22).

  1. A tried-and-true beauty trick that actually works is…

When traveling or on-the-go, rubbing an ice cube on your face and under your eyes in the morning really helps to depuff.
