About Perelel: Perelel is a direct-to-consumer women's health startup focused on offering targeted OB/GYN-made and doula-approved vitamin routines for each stage of a woman’s reproductive cycle—from menstrual health to fertility, through each trimester of pregnancy, into postpartum and beyond. Perelel is a giving-company and donates a supply of its own prenatals for every new subscription while also donating a percentage of sales to support women’s health research and advocacy.
Role Overview: As the Social Media Lead at Perelel Health, you will be a pivotal player in our mission to empower and educate women about their hormonal health through compelling storytelling, engaging content, and community-building on social media platforms. Wearing the hats of both data-driven strategist and agile content creator, you’ll shape our brand's digital presence, drive meaningful connections with our audience, and position Perelel at the forefront of the cultural conversation. Reporting directly to the Head of Content, you will create, execute, and optimize social media initiatives that align with Perelel’s brand identity and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: Execute and iterate on a comprehensive social media strategy that enhances brand visibility, resonates with target audiences, and drives user engagement across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging channels.
- Content Creation and Development: Closely collaborate with creative teams and manage external creators to produce and execute captivating multimedia content including images, videos, graphics, and written copy. You’ll deliver compelling, timely, and culturally relevant narratives that highlight our products, values, and mission, with a deep understanding of the formats that perform for each channel.
- Copywriting Excellence: Craft persuasive and authentic copy that effectively communicates our brand voice and resonates with our community, maintaining a consistent tone and style across all channels.
- Community Building: Foster a vibrant and engaged online community by leveraging interactive tactics, engaging in meaningful conversations, and collaborating closely with our Social & Community Manager to ensure the brand responds to all comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Audience Insights: Proactively utilize data analytics and insights to refine content strategies, optimize posting schedules, and track KPIs, ensuring continuous growth and improvement in audience engagement and conversion rates.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Be a strategic thought partner cross-functionally within the Marketing team, as well as with Creative, Brand, and Growth leadership to drive strategy, solicit input and derive insights to strengthen ideas.
- Emerging Platforms: You’re always one step ahead of social media trends and emerging platforms, exploring innovative ways to engage our audience and position Perelel as a thought leader in the women's reproductive health space.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in social media management, preferably in the health and wellness or lifestyle sectors. Editorial background preferred.
- Mastery of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and a keen interest in emerging social media platforms.
- Deep familiarity with reproductive health, prenatal, and related categories strongly preferred (hormonal + menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood).
- Fully and demonstrably immersed in the cultural zeitgeist—you have a knack for not just hopping on trends, but staying one step ahead.
- Extensive content portfolio and proven track record of creating successful social media campaigns, driving engagement, and achieving measurable results.
- Familiarity with design tools such as InDesign, Figma or other design software is a bonus.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Data-driven mindset, adept at analyzing social media metrics and using insights to refine strategies.
- Passion for storytelling, community building, and women's health advocacy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
