We’re on a mission to create a world with
more healthy, supported women.

Victoria was fed up with

a one-size-fits-all approach.

In early 2019, Victoria’s daughter was born with a cleft lip without having any common risk factors or genetic link. As someone who had gone to great lengths to take all of the right vitamins, read all of the right research, and was lucky enough to have an incredible OB/GYN, Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, Victoria was shocked to learn how much was left unsaid and underserved for women during pregnancy.

Victoria & Dr. Bayati learned that this type of cleft was associated with a folic acid deficiency, which was particularly surprising given that

Victoria had sought a prenatal she trusted with folic acid. It turns out about 40 to 60 percent of women have a common genetic mutation called the MTHFR variant, which prevents them from converting folic acid into folate, the usable form of the nutrient. Folate intake during the first four to seven weeks of pregnancy is crucial, which makes the timing of nutrients key during pregnancy. It was all too clear that the industry’s one-size-fits-all approach to prenatal vitamins was not the right one. There had to be a better way.

We realized we weren’t alone.

As they dug deeper, Victoria and Dr. Bayati discovered an industry that hadn't kept pace with modern research. Women's nutrient needs change dramatically throughout life, yet most vitamins relied on one-size-fits-all formulas, outdated ingredients, and little transparency around who was creating them. Women were expected to navigate an overwhelming amount of conflicting information without knowing who or what they could trust.

They knew that women deserved better.

It was time to reinvent women’s vitamins from the ground up.

Together, they set out to build something different: a vitamin routine designed to evolve alongside women's changing bodies. Each formula would be tailored to a specific life stage using bioavailable, research-backed ingredients in doctor-recommended, clinically tested doses.

And because consistency matters, every routine would arrive in a simple daily pack that made getting the right nutrients feel effortless.

With Dr. Bayati at the helm as Perelel's Medical Co-Founder,

they assembled a multidisciplinary team of world-class OB/GYNs, reproductive endocrinologists, dietitians and doulas to help formulate each Perelel product. Together, they combined decades of research with real-world clinical experience to create nutrition women could trust.
